Cultural Geography & Physical Geography Mini Lesson and handouts
This lesson focuses on teaching students the difference between Physical Geography and Cultural Geography. During this lesson students think about their environment to identify examples of both types of geography. They also identify examples in picture books while working in small groups. I recommend you borrow some picture books that talk about nature or the city from your school library or local library. Finally, they use what they learn to write a response about their favorite place and describe any examples of cultural geography or physical geography included in that place.
